At last we ventured out in the caravan, the first time in 2011. We went to Lady Margaret's, in Chirk, Wales. It was a lovely site surrouded by trees. The Wardens were very friendly, and we were surprised that it was almost half full in the middle of February, with the temperatures around 6c during the day and just below freezing at night. Once again the heating in the caravan didnt let us down, once it had heated up it was lovely, despite the smokers keep opening the doors to go outside for a fag!.
not far away in fact very close to the site is a Cadburys factory, but you wouldnt guess it was there. We had a ride to Oswestry and found a lovely fish n chip shop, it wasnt too expensive either. On the second day Paul and Dale went fishing to the canal which is about 7 minutes walk away. We struggled to get any telly reception on the second night but on the first night it was brilliant, so i dont know what went wrong there.
We are hoping to go away once a month now, and hopefully it will get a little warmer soon. Oh forgot to mention the fresh cream eclair that i had ! mmmmm
